The Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation (AFRM), the National Institute of Rehabilitation Research (NIRR-NZ) and the New Zealand Rehabilitation Association (NZRA) are proud to be joint hosts of this conference which will focus on "Working together across the lifespan - An interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation".

The conference will take place at Rydges Hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand on 21-25 July 2009 and incorporates the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting of the AFRM.

 

The Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) is the peak professional organisation for Rehabilitation Medicine education and training in Australia and New Zealand. As a Faculty of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians it is committed to providing support to members and future members at all stages in their career in Rehabilitation Medicine and to promote the study of and the advancement of knowledge in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine.

 

The National Institute of Rehabilitation Research (NIRR-NZ) endeavours to promote excellence in rehabilitation research across New Zealand. The overall aim is to enhance knowledge of, access to, processes in and outcomes from rehabilitation . It is a collaboration between Auckland University of Technology, Massey University, the Rehabilitation Teaching & Research Unit of the University of Otago Wellington.

 

The New Zealand Rehabilitation Association (NZRA) aims to promote interest, education, training and research in the field of disability and rehabilitation. It is a not-for-profit organisation that encompasses all the various disciplines of rehabilitation, as well as connecting people involved with funding, receiving, providing and/or research rehabilitation services within New Zealand.
